Charles Aldrich was born and raised in Los Alamos, New Mexico. He grew up with an appreciation for the Southwest's landscape, adobe churches and historic folk art. His interest in liturgical art began as a child with collecting art books about the Italian Renaissance masters. His interest in human form developed through high school and college with extensive life drawing course work. While the recent years have been busy with supporting a family
as a first grade teacher, he has found time to do a variety of art work ranging from watercolors, woodcuts, icons, relief carvings, and alter pieces, to his current interest in acrylic portraits, landscapes, and still lifes.
